About 30 minutes by car from the Villa Tower Inn hotel is a renowned and exclusive place of thermal peace. Casciana Terme is a small treasure chest nestled in the Pisan hills with its precious heart because it holds its generous bicarbonate-sulphate thermal waters. A real spa village that revolves around the eighteenth-century Villa Borri, a wellness center with a panoramic terrace and indoor and outdoor pools. It perfectly deserves the nickname ``thermal pearl of Italy``. Already since the thirteenth century it has been a pilgrimage destination from all over Europe and continues to be so. In 1863 the recently restored grandiose neoclassical thermal establishment was then designed by the architect Poggi and able to accommodate about 1,000 people a day, with dozens of thermal mud rooms, baths, whirlpools, inhalations, a very modern department for motor rehabilitation agreed with the national health service, again, indoor swimming pool, walking paths, equipped gyms, magnetotherapy and laser. It is impossible to escape absolute well-being as, last but not least, beauty treatments, massages, saunas and a Turkish bath are provided. Finding us in Casciana Terme it will also be pleasant to visit the Contessa Matilde market (antiques, handicrafts, minerals) which takes place on the first Friday of the months of June, July, August and September, and then resumes in an extraordinary edition in December.

Finally, at the foot of the Pisan Mountains are the Terme di Uliveto, where the olive grove water gushes out to drink also because it is rich in precious mineral salts and highly recommended during meals because it facilitates digestion. Here too there is a very appreciable wellness establishment with ad hoc and customizable courses: swimming pools, water gymnastics courses, yoga but also tennis and other sports activities.

Happy relaxation everyone!
